I am am a self-proclaimed Pinterest-addict. This is a wonderful place to get creative ideas and inspiration for nearly every occasion. I came across some photos of “Wedding Mad libs,” and decided that I would recreate them with a twist for my DIY Bride exhibit hosted by Ocala Style Magazine! Who doesn’t love a good Mad Lib? These DIY gems make for a cute and fun “ice breaker” for any wedding reception table. I found a printable template on etsy.com that I fell in love with and bought a ream of card stock paper! Be sure to check out other templates too! There are some amazing downloads that may better fit your unique style, price point and personality!
I then decided that I wanted to add a little rustic quality to the wedding mad libs and I found these adorable branch and twig pencils that I tied onto each one. Here is the link:
I bought lace from my local craft store – which can be easily customized to match your wedding color(s). I tied the lace around each piece of card stock.
I also bought burlap twine from craft store. I tied a piece of twine around the lace so that it secures in the front and made sure that it was fairly tight. Once in place, I held the pencil over the knot and tied the pencil into place with a bow.
