Everyone knows that the traditional wedding guestbook is often a very impersonal wedding keepsake that will remain in a box in the garage … forever! I came across a photo on Pinterest where the Bride had chosen to use a suitcase and had laid out postcards for her guests to sign – allowing them to leave a more personal and heartfelt message! The postcards also serve as a two-fer, as you can ask your guests to leave their addresses (to make it easier for you to send “thank you” cards after you return from your honeymoon)! I didn’t have a vintage suitcase – but I found a shabby chic chest and table runner from a local antique shop for $15.00! I then ordered vintage postcards on Amazon – (32 cards for $6.88). Here is the link:
Finally, I printed a cute and funny message to hang off the front of the chest and glued it onto a vintage-looking tag that I found at my local craft store for $1.99. My tag reads, “Please Sign Our Guestbook. (P.S. If you leave your return address, you might get a thank you card in return!) #Disorganized.” You can customize your tag to fit your unique personality and tone.
